Author Guidelines

Call for Papers

As an initial step, we hereby invite paper submissions. Full papers should be limited to between 10 and 12 pages, excluding references, while abstracts should range from 250 to 300 words. They should cover diverse aspects of the conference theme. We welcome submissions from both international and local scholars in the field of Performing and Visual Arts, reflecting their unique contexts. Please specify your participation preference (onsite or online) during submission.

Publication Details

The abstracts will be published in the Proceedings of the Research Conference and distributed on the final day of the conference. Full papers will be published in Faculty Journal Later after incorporating the evaluations given during the presentation.

Conference Registration Fee

  • SAARC Presenters: 20 US $ (Both Onsite and Online)

  • Other International Presenters: 30 US $ (Both Onsite and Online)

  • Local Presenters (National ID is necessary): LKR 5,000/-

  • Local Students: LKR 1000/-

Submission guidelines for authors

General Guidelines

  • Full papers should be submitted via the online Conference Management Tool (CMT)  (https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/IRCPVA2024).
  • Papers will be rejected without further consideration if plagiarism is detected.
  • The author is requested to submit the research paper according to the specified conference themes.
  • Each accepted paper must be presented by one of its authors at the Conference.
  • At least one of the authors should register to present the paper.
  • The Author Declaration Form signed by all authors should be submitted along with the full paper (excludes the authors’ details at Initial Submission). The Author Declaration Form can be submitted as a PDF file or as an image file. Papers submitted without duly completed Author Declaration Forms will not be considered for review.
  • The template for full papers, the Author Declaration Form, and submission guidelines can be downloaded from the links provided at the bottom of this page.
  • The page limit for full papers should be between 8 and 10 pages excluding the references. A short abstract of the paper should appear at the beginning of the paper. The length of the abstract should be between 250 and 300 words. The short abstract should be followed by three to five keywords or phrases in alphabetical order, separated by commas.
  • Once the full papers and the Author Declaration Forms are received, a note of acknowledgment will be sent to the corresponding author by e-mail.
  • Abstracts of all the papers submitted at the camera-ready stage will be published in the conference proceedings.

Guidelines for Authors

Full papers should be type-set in pdf format. Full papers should be either in UK English or Unicode Tamil.

Major Sections and Headings of the Full Paper

  1. Abstract: The abstract should include the Purpose of the study, Research Problems, Design and Methodology, Outcome/Findings, Reflection of Social & national needs, and Keywords.
  2. Introduction: Describe about Background of the research, research Problems / Gap, Problem statement, Research Questions, Objectives, and Significance of the Study.
  3. Literature Review: Provide a summarised and updated review of literature pertaining to the key arguments of the study.
  4. Methodology: Describe about research methods and approaches.
  5. Results and discussions: Present the major results and discuss the key points
  6. Conclusions and Recommendation: State conclusions concisely and It should be specified whether the objectives have been achieved.
  7. References: Citations and references included in the full paper should be formatted in line with the Harvard referencing guide available at:
